WARNING: Once you click it, they're in alphabetical order, and it looks like the only way to get them back in chronological order is manual.
I've got over albums. It's an impractical option. Unfortunately you can only sort Alpha - and there is no undo - events can normally should be in chronological order - and the search windows lets you instantly find photos from any date or date range.
Alas, albums contain photos from multiple events. Perhaps if Apple is reading this stuff they can include a function to sort by the date the album was created. As far as he could tell, neither iTunes nor the iPhone offered any option to change the phone's photo-sorting behavior. As the anonymous reader discovered, however, there is a solution—one that's less obvious than it might appear at first.
The iPhone will honor whichever sorting option you select within iPhoto. You can then sort Events by date in chronological or reverse-chronological orderalphabetically by name, or in a manual order of your own creation.
But, wait, there's more: If you switched to iTunes now, your photos still wouldn't be in the order you wanted; they'd be out of order on your phone, too.

Any help is appreciated. A: The trick for resolving this puzzle is to understand that computers will do their own arranging and assigningusing a pre-configured, rigid, logic — generally alphabetical order. So even though you have carefully nudged the icons representing for human viewing your photos actually JPEG files around into an arranged order of your liking, the machine will still think of the files in terms of IMG So the answer is to rename the filesand do so in an order that matches your order.
If you had just a few files, you could manually rename the first image by giving it a name and adding a one. Repeating for the second image, but adding a 2. And, repeating for the third image, but adding a 3. Note: If for some reason you are unhappy with the result.

Thanks for taking the time to participate. One of the biggest updates for Instagram was the decision to go from a chronological feed to one dictated by algorithms. It was and still is hated by many, the main claim being that it means you miss important posts because the algorithm uses its own means of prioritizing posts.
If you are wondering how to make Instagram chronological againyou need to know that it is not something you can do by changing the app preferences. It's something which takes a little working around. In Instagram changed its news feed and instead of putting posts in chronological order, they let their algorithms take over. This way, the order is dictated by the posts you like, the people you follow, the profiles you view and the hashtags you use. At least, we think this is the case.
The algorithm overlords are notorious in keeping their exact workings a secret. What it is safe to say is that how you interact on Instagram in terms of posts you like, comment on, share, repost, etc.
The latest update allows you to select a drop down option menu which lets you suggest which types of posts you'd like to see more or less of. Even with the backlash, however, many people are quite happy with the new feed. If you follow many accountsthere is a lot of content to scroll through.
If your Instagram feed is chronological, you may find yourself having to take a long time to get to the posts in which you would be more interested. Also, Instagram regularly updates its algorithm. This is in part due to the greater amount of data which they collect about individual accounts. The way they suggest which pictures, videos, hashtags and accounts are high priority based on this data. However, they have listened to the feedback and in March decided to make the posts more chronological.
This doesn't mean they are chronological, but it uses this as a way to decide in which order they will put the posts on your feed. With these changes and with more knowledge of how the algorithm works, you may want to simply leave it as it is. A chronological feed has its positives. This information will be visible to anyone who visits or subscribes to notifications for this post.

When will google let us organize photos by the title that you give them???? I could not agree more. It's my biggest frustration with Google Photos that we cannot sort by file name in albums. I am wasting a lot of time changing dates, especially for old scanned photos, while it would be so simple to rename them in batch and sort by name. Since Google says it preferably implements what most users ask for: please submit feedback directly to the team:.
